I have written a utility that allows me to use the programs MakeMKV and FFMPEG to backup your personal content to the Plex Library Structure. If the disk is a movie, then it will create a directory for the movie and allow you to classify assets corresponding the library naming scheme.
The true power comes from backing up box sets. In this mode the software will display the titles on disc; allow you to input the title, series, season number, and the first episode number on the disc. Once you start the process, it autoincrements each title by disc. This way you simply put the disc in, click read disc, and then rip disk. Repeat for each disk in the season. The settings are maintained from each execution. Therefore, you can pickup where you left off.
Lastly, advanced users can modify the ffmpeg command line if they wish to use special processing or hardware encoders.
