I have Plex Media Server on a Raspberry pi 3 with dietPi. The system works pretty well until I get a video with h265 codec.
If PMS streams to my samsung tv, everything works perfectly, the tv does the transcoding, the Pi gets very little CPU overhead. If I stream to my Mac OSX (web) the Pi tries to do transcoding and the cpu skyrocket. I have tried to install Plex Home theater and I get the same, the Pi tries to do the transcoding. I only get this trouble with h265 videos.
- How can I ensure that the Pi sends the movie without any transcoding and that the heavy lifting is done by my macOSX ??
