Any Smart people here knows how to make your google cloud into a network drive?
there is a tool that does it for you called expandrive but it's 50$ USD ,

onedrive is easy to do

open your web browser go to your onedrive account
open any folder you have
notice the address bar https://onedrive.live.com/?id=C1B59D86F7EFD870!19080&cid=C1B59D86F7EFD250
copy after the = and before the % ( C1B59D86F7EFD250 )
open windows explorer and click on map network drive
in Folder type https://d.docs.live.net/C1B59D86F7EFD250 ( your own code )
Check the "Connect using different credentials" and auto sign in

But google Drive i have no idea

Is there a plex app/client for Firefox OS on Panasonic cx700 televisions? The 2015 models

 

The firefox os apps are HTML5

 

Or does anyone know if the browser(firefox) can connect to the webbased client (plex.tv/web) so you can stream from there?

Hi all, i'm a new owner of the Hdhomerun Connect unit and i'm happy with its performance so far, but not too happy with my antenna unfortunately. Before i bought the Connect, i was using my existing antenna (RCA ANT525) hooked directly into my TV. Whenever i turned my computer pn, it scrambled the picture making in unusable, which is why i bought the Connect so i could move the antenna elsewhere and still have it be available through the network.

Ths interesting thing i'm finding is that when the antenna was downstairs into the TV, i got the local stations plus CBS, NBC, ABC but no FOX. But now that i moved it upstairs pointing out a window, i get more local stations, but only CBS and FOX, but no ABC or NBC. I'm not sure if it's because it's an older antenna (I was given it for free by the in-laws) and i'm not sure if it's uni- or omni-directional. I'm not attached to it so i'm open to suggestions on replacements, like the Mohu Leaf or something else, but i'm in an area where i should be getting all the major new stations without an issue.

So if anyone has suggestions about placement for my existing antenna, or if i should get a different one, i would appreciate it. Thanks

Good day everyone,
I have written a utility that allows me to use the programs MakeMKV and FFMPEG to backup your personal content to the Plex Library Structure. If the disk is a movie, then it will create a directory for the movie and allow you to classify assets corresponding the library naming scheme.

The true power comes from backing up box sets. In this mode the software will display the titles on disc; allow you to input the title, series, season number, and the first episode number on the disc. Once you start the process, it autoincrements each title by disc. This way you simply put the disc in, click read disc, and then rip disk. Repeat for each disk in the season. The settings are maintained from each execution. Therefore, you can pickup where you left off.

Lastly, advanced users can modify the ffmpeg command line if they wish to use special processing or hardware encoders.

The latest versions of humax box's now have a range of apps which can be installed, they have Netflix, Amazon prime along with all the catchup TV apps, whats missing is a plex app. I did email humax and they said it was down to plex to supply the app and they would be more than willing to add it.

So plex...any chance?

Our windows media center is coming to the end of its life and we would like a one box solution and apart from missing HUMAX FVP4000T 1TB would be ideal apart foprom no plex app on there store.

Hi, I recently purchased a HiSense Smart TV and downloaded Plex from the Opera TV Store. The app mostly works fine but when you try to play a movie or TV show it gets stuck on a black screen. If you press fast forward the app freezes. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Plex Server Version: 1.5.1.3520
PlexPy Version: 1.4.17
OS: Windows 10 (both running on same machine, neither in a VM)

Description of Issue
PlexPy occasionally fails to include the poster in email notifications. The following error message can be found in the logs:
PlexPy Helpers :: Unable to upload image to Imgur: HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error

The email still sends, just without the poster. It happens randomly. Today, I added 3 movies within a few minutes - it failed to upload the poster for one of them.

Questions
Is there a local server cache for PlexPy that could help if I cleared it? Otherwise, should I just assume it's an issue with the server? It has a wired connection to the router > modem > Internet.

Let me know if you need additional information.

I was just interested in how many people would like this to happen? I've seen a few posts around the interwebs about this since FetchTV went open source.
Is anyone working on a client for FetchTV? Are there any discussions taking place?

Hi my problem is when I select one of my HDR mkvs with multi language tracks and I select the non default language for the file the HDR badge does not show and the colors are washed out. Also I see a message about "the media will be transcoded by the plex media server before being streamed ". So I imagine it's something to do with the transcodeing, does anyone have a workaround or settings for the transcoder that will preserve the HDR values?

Hi,

 

Here in the UK,  Humax are popular STB's used to access either Freeview ( DVB-T / DVB-T2) or Freesat ( DVB-S2) channels, with integrated add ons for all of the On-Demand content available from channels featured on Freeview/ Freesat.

 

Humax have a " App Market" ( https://www.myhumax.net/AppMarket) which features a limited range of apps which can be installed on the STB's. I believe they are HTML5 based, and if I remember correctly the Plex for Samsung app uses a HTML5 based browser to act as a Plex client.

 

Would this be a possible route to bring Plex to Humax?! It would be a very popular feature as Humax boxes are popular here in the UK, and also have very good review's!

I recently found a guide on using Caddy (reverse proxy) with Plex Media Server (and I guess other stuff I want my viewers to see like Plex Requests).
Plex Requests runs fine, but for some reason when someone streams a video from outside my network, the video will play for like 5 seconds then just suddenly stop.
If I disable Caddy then put traffic straight to the server, it works fine again.
Has anyone else had this experience with Caddy and Plex Server?

Is there any client embedded os that would work on a Dell Venue 11 Pro? I have one of these that is sitting around doing nothing. It'd nice to have something small to just play music with a familiar interface. It uses an Atom processor and it's currently running Windows 10.

I am using PlexBMC app on my Kodi. It signs me in to my Plex account but can't find any media servers. I am running a VPN on my media server and I turned it off but no go. All my other plex apps are working, that is Roku etc. I can get to my media server by browsing but not Plex.

Perhaps you can instruct me in the fine art of creating an NFO file - and that may help mitigate this stubborn issue I'm having with MCEBuddy wherein he flat out refuses to do anything, but read that bogus metadata from within WTV files.

It's a bad day over here when I record something that's metadata won't match an online database and many of my problem shows are listed under other names. As it turns out it is my problem when Network Employees just name stuff what they want without first checking TVDB or TMDB to see what the name really is.

Anyway, there is some light at the end of this passage. I got one 'unmatchable' to get thrown into the Movie Library (my goal actually), but it seemed to have an extra (Year) field.

NFO File Name:
Joy to the World with Bob Thompson (2015).nfo
NFO Contents:

(that was challenging - forum didn't like that!)

This just in:
I changed the name of the file and the nfo file:
Joy to the World with Bob Thompson.wtv
Joy to the World with Bob Thompson.nfo
(same contents)
I get:
Joy to the World with Bob Thompson (2015)().mp4

I'm would try removing the () around the year in the hopes that Bud will do something different, but it could be a corrupt nfo content thing.
